AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's latest free story episode, titled "The Mystery." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
